Timpani Roll Notation Problem

I’ve spent nearly 2 hours seaching inside Dor5 and everywhere on the internet for how to create a note with 3 slash lines above or below a given note to indicate a tremolo. I can’t find any info on how to do this.

See screenshot. Please help! :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

triple slash

Tremolos are in the Repeats Section (which is actually very logical!)

Thanks Janus! MUCH appreciated!

Do you know how I can toggle the tremolo symbol to appear above or below a give note? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

You flip the note (F)?

Or shift-r, 3.

If you type “create tremolo” in the search field of the WebHelp User Manual, the fourth result is what you’re looking for:

Come to think of it, even just typing “dorico create tremolo” comes up with this link (albeit an old version of Dorico):

Is it ok if I ask how/where exactly were you searching for this info?

Marc, thanks for the tips!:+1:

Hi Daniel. Thanks for chiming in.
I looked long and hard around the Dor5 interface and then turned to the online manual to search.

I typed in everything I could think of except the OBVIOUS search terms you mentioned!

A BIG “DAAAAH” for me is well deserved!!!:melting_face:

For what it’s worth, searching the Dorico 5 manual for this phrase brings up a topic about Tremolos as the 2nd result, and that page has direct links for how to input tremolos at the bottom.

I think in a lot of situations, searching the manual using a short-ish phrase comprising words you would write in a forum post should bring up relevant results fairly near the top.
