I’m using a Kontakt patch that has timpani hits and rolls, mapped in different octaves. I’m having trouble figuring out how to notate the rolls so that they trigger the roll samples. Played around with adjusting octaves in the expression map, but haven’t hit on the right combination. I don’t want Dorico trills or tremolos, but I’d like to use the tremolo sign to trigger the (2) octave shift for the roll samples.
That’s kind of an odd one IMO - though yah EWQL does the same thing , sigh. The easiest way I found was to change the octave in the VST itself for the roll patches, so all I am worried about is triggering the patch.
