To activate or not to activate

In the Notes Toolbox the activate seems to be the wrong way around, although the manual description is confusingly contradictive, it states:-

•To activate mouse input, deactivate Select . (highlighted)

•To deactivate mouse input, activate Select . (not highlighted)

Not sure what that is trying to explain, but when the icon is lit, no mouse input possible, and when not lit, mouse input works - it’s set up like a mouse defeat option, rather than an enable function.

Shouldn’t this be the other way around ?

When the selection tool is activated (i.e. the button is lit up or highlighted), then you can’t input notes with the mouse: you can only select things with the mouse. The tool is to enable selection and disable mouse input, rather than to enable mouse input. Hope that makes sense!
