To Be Released Q1 2019 - Please add ARA integration

Sure, as long as it doesn’t take years and years for this to happen then I am all for Steinberg creating a more robust VST interface that would benefit all of the VST developers. In the meantime ARA, is already out there and we are missing the benefits of it.

I still don’t get the reluctance to have more options to work with. Obviously, folks that aren’t interested in Melodyne or Revoice Pro probably don’t see much of a need for this, but why comment on a thread that you have no interest in? By the responses to this thread, we can all see that quite a few people are interested in this technology. I am still wondering if any of the people with dissenting opinions have actually used a DAW with ARA capabilities. I would be surprised if they have and still don’t want this to be added.

Adding ARA is not going to break Cubase in any way and it also shouldn’t stop Steinberg from working towards a better VST platform in the future. I am still not seeing the negative of adding ARA.

With the sale going on I am tempted to update for Cabase 7.5
but why?
No ARA.
I will use Cubase 7.5 as my secondary DAW rather than my primary.

I there are plans to add ARA , why wait?

ARA support is the reason I started to learn and work in Studio One 3… I Own Melodyne and Vocalign , with ARA this plugs makes me so faster … Because of this, Cubase is now my second DAW, Studio One 3 is the first and i am so happy … ARA is AMAZING

Stuck on Cubase 7.5 until it gets ARA.
But then I may end up being happy with Studio One and Sonar and my not be willing to return to Cubase.

Steinberg"s pride.
If it was not invented here it is not very good!
We do not care about their pride!
We only care about their products.
Wake up and smell the ARA aroma!!!

Maybe Cubase are trying to make their own version of Melodyne and release it as part of a future release? This is the only reason I can think that they are restricting the ARA feature.

… I think this strategy would be a shame because at the end of the day, Celemony clearly specialise in a very specific area of software development, which is unmatched by any other company.

Sternberg create a diverse set of tools, but instead of becoming a jack of all trades, I think they would be better to open up in a collaborative manner and allow the integration of other companies software for these highly specialised and specific tools.

If they Sternberg were to create their own version of Melodyne, would it be anything like as good? How many years of beta testing would it take and updates for it to become the same standard? I don’t want to wait years for a crude rival version of Melodyne. I already own and work with the original.
I can only say this:

  • I WOULD pay for an update which would include ARA integration

  • I would NOT pay for an update which includes an attached piece of internal software which tries to do the same thing as Melodyne.

true !

+1 for ARA.

Lack of ARA support is a deal breaker.

I am a Sonar user, since Gibson are discontinuing the product I am looking for alternatives.

Cubase was the best alternative… until I discovered that it does not have ARA support.

Cubase has other features such as notation that are clearly superior to Sonar, but without ARA support I would have been unable to complete my recent album.

+10 for ARA.

I would love ARA integration for Melodyne and Vocalign in Cubase. Make it happen, Steinberg!

I would also like to see this added.

it would be very very coooool…

I agree too.
