Toggling swing on/off within same arrangement

Hello! I’ve tried to search options in the manual and other posts but I feel like asking directly is a better option.

My friends and I are working on an arrangement in which it is primarily swung by the 8th note (quaver), but then switches to a straight quaver for a section. Right now we have it set for a medium swing via Playback Options>Timing, but that seems to be a blanket setting for the entire arrangement. Is there a way to toggle swing vs. straight quavers within the same arrangement for both engraving and playback purposes?

Let me know if any clarification is needed?

Welcome to the forum @tsalimmusic.

Just leave the Default Rhythmic feel set to straight.

At the rhythmic position that you want it to be swung, open the tempo popover (Shift+T) and type in “sw” and you will see all the variations of swing that are available.

Simply do the same but type “str” and select Straight (no swing) when you want to go back to straight.

Thanks Daniel! That did it. It seems the tempo popover overrides whatever the Default Rhythmic Feel anyways, which is essentially what we wanted.
