I’m currently working on a project using Cubase Elements 10.5 and having really got into a flow but I’ve suddenly had to stop .After 9 tracks, including the soundtrack for a video, Cubase doesn’t allow me to add any more. I thought that the limit was much more than nine. Does anyone know a solution to this. It would be gratefully appreciated!!!
Hi,
Thanks for the link but it only shows me what Elements can do. My problem is that I can’t add any extra tracks beyond the nine that I’ve entered already. By the way,
the tracks are from Spitfire Audio’s BBC Discover and Labs.
All the best,
Peter Kay
Hi Peter,
according to the comparison chart, you should be able to add up to 24 instrument tracks like the Spitfire VST instruments. Are you sure you’re running Cubase Elements and not LE? The latter supports only 8 instrument tracks. The soundtrack you mentioned might be added as an audio track so that the sum of 9 tracks would be feasible with Cubase LE.
Hi,
Sorry, you’re right it is LE!! It was phrased as Cubase LE A1 Elements or something like that!
Is there any way I can upgrade to a system with more track availability?
Just go to steinberg.net and select Cubase and look at the comparison table. You can then decide which version you need. Then select that for purchase and select the upgrade tab and see if your version is one that can be upgraded from. So in your case if you wanted to go to elements it would be £42. To go up to Artist from yours would be a big jump to £233. Take a look yourself as it will show the price in the currency you choose
