track locked

I sent a project to a friend on Mac.

when he received it he couldn’t remove one of the tracks and it made no sound.

he sends me back the project with his remix

This is an instrument track. I see it is disabled, I enable it - still no sound but the vsti loads and it is locked. The lock is grayed out

how is it possible to remove this track from the project?

yeah I know, it doesn’t matter as I can make it invisible and it don’t make any sounds

BUT i’d like to know why it isn’t a possible to unlock and remove it

I have no idea but I have worked on the project for a few hours now. It must have been locked by something else somehow. I did remove some plugins and some other tracks. Now I could remove the track without problems, I guess no point in searching for the reason as I will never find out now :smiley:
