Track Preset Remove ( Track Reset Option )

I recently added a Track Preset only to discover it is not possible to remove it afterwards - as stated in the Cubase 14 Pro Manual.

After seeing few users trying to remove applied Track Presets, I thought it would make for a nice Feature Request - the reason, I’m posting it.

I didn’t get deeper into the functionality, and maybe it’s not trivial ( since the presets are some kind of possibly more complex Templates ) - so I am not sure to what extent it is possible to “Reset” the Track, with any Preset applied.

Cheers!

Hi,
this is possible and there are a variety of ways to do so. Can you provide more details what you’d like to see, please?

You have to Undo the MixConsole, not the project.
The default key command is Alt + Z / Opt + Z

Hi @Reco29 - I would simply like to “Reset” the “Track Preset” applied, for instance on a Instrument Track ( where I applied some Guitar Preset, named “G29” or something ) so the Track will get rid of Halion and other Additions, applied to that Track.

Thanks @Johnny_Moneto - I will try that next time, for sure! I have to yet familiarize myself with Cubase’s Layered Undo Tech  - I remember I was looking under Project Undo and saw nothing, and although I’ve noticed these other Undo/Redo Icons above MixConsole - I wasn’t sure of their functionality. So thanks again! Undo-ing is surely the best solution, as you get the Same Channel, as it was before. Are these Undos saved between sessions, even if I close and reopen Cubase?

No, they get deleted when closing the project.
Exemption: undo quantize; that one gets stored and can be used even 30 years later.
