I was half way through transferring my elements 7 soft license to an e-licenser when the computer crashed. I am replacing the computer. The my Steinberg account says the programme is a soft license. The computer I was able to open for a short time so I tried Cubase which wanted the dongle.
I want to upgrade to E-8. I am not sure what to do.
I’m guessing that as long as your My Steinberg account says the license is still a “soft” one then you should be able to generate a new activation for your new computer. Once you have the new computer up and running you should then be able to transfer that license to the Steinberg Key.
