Transferring CUbase without disk

I have a new computer and need to transfer my Cubase SL 2 to it. I have long lost my original disk. I plan on upgrading to newer version, but in the meantime, I need to use what I have. How do I do this? I tried to copy and paste the Steinberg folder to my laptop and it didn’t work. It starts to load and runs into an error. I think it is the licensing, but I don’t know how to correct that. I don’t really understand the Syncrosoft or e-licenser. It asks for numbers, but where do I get those numbers? Thanks for any help

I doubt it will work by just copying the Steinber and/or Cubase folders. I think you will have to reinstall it somehow. Maybe you have a copy of the old hard drive that you can paste to a new partition created on the new computer. That might work?

As far as the licensing… You might be able to get those numbers in your “MySteinberg” account. Hopefully you registered your software there when you first installed it.
