Translating beats into time (ms)

Is there a way in the Sample Editor, or any Editor Cubase, to look at a beat of a kick or snare drum and easily find out how long the beat is in milliseconds?

Is it the actual hit or the interval that the hit occupies (quarter note etc)?

It’s the actual hit. Looking to correspond a compressor’s release in ms with it.

If you know what tempo you’re working at then 60,000/bpm = beat length in ms

And just adding to what conman said, if you select with the Range Tool with the ruler set to time rather than bars, then the info line will give you what you want.
