How do I make the cursor automatically go back to the beginning of my cycle after pressing stop? (default in Logic Pro) Can somebody help me, please? I´m new in Cubase. Been sitting in Logic for too many years…
hehe yes many people wonder about this
You’ll find it in a new section since Cubase 13.
transport → start mode-> select your wanted behavior there
make sure the last selection is ticked “return to start position on stop”
Thank you for your reply. Do you know if it says how to make it happen when I have something in a cycle…because I know how to make it return to my original position when not in cycling mode. It´s “the cycling part”, that I don´t get…
Ok, I found it now. Thanks a lot glenloopez!! Do you also know how to make everything (the whole display) larger, like you may in Ableton where you can resize the whole display in percentage. (Since I don´t see very well)
There is a setting in the General section of the Preferences dialog, called HiDPI:
Thank you for your reply! I´m sorry but I can’t see it…Perhaps they moved it around. I have Cubase 13.
it should be where @Johnny_Moneto said.
edit → preferences → general
all the way on the top set to +50% for very big. maybe you could try to scroll up and this option will present itself? unfortunately, Steinberg has not redesigned their preferences page yet and can be hard to read for me at times. Hopefully, that is all
also, a tip for you if you have a keyboard with a numpad… you can press “1” and your cursor will always jumpt to the start of the region marker of your loop
I´m sorry, but I don´t have that option…Perhaps got something to do with settings on my Macbook, regarding the displays…or something…Strange. Thank you anyway. At least I know how to make my cursor behave like it should.
I think that the HiDPI setting is a Windows only setting. On a Mac, you can either adjust your display to a lower resolution, or enable the zoom in/out shortcuts in the accessibility settings. Perhaps there are other ways to make things easier that I’m not aware of, since I’m not a Mac power user.
ah, when you remind me - this is for Windows only setting I don’t know anything about MAC’s other than I will most likely buy a Macbook Pro m4 this year unless the prices are raised outrageously. I remember seeing posts about this for mac’s before. hopefully, a search in the forum will get you sorted, but from what I can remember it was a Mac os setting sorting this issue you are having.
Thank you! I´m a Mac user since the beginning of times but am thinking about changing to PC and Cubase instead of Mac and Logic…Just got Cubase Artist for half the price and really like it so far…actually planning to upgrade to Pro.
Thank you for helping out. I’ll investigate the “resolution-theory”
