Hello, I am setting out the modes (Dorian, Ionian, etc ) for each note of the scale - C,D,etc.
As a short cut, is it possible to write out the modes for, say, C, then use Dorico’s transposing facility, to work out the results for the other keys, or am I just being lazy ?
I think all of the church modes are included in the Write > Transform > Pitches > Map Scale dialog.
This is also accessible from the popover, e.g. if you have a selection that is all in C major then you can do shift-I and type “C major to C dorian” into the popover. (If the prevailing key signature is C then you don’t even need to specify the root, you can just type “major to dorian”.)
