I’m working with a transposition from Bb to A using the transpose utility. I think I
understand how this should be done - define the key signature change on the right and the interval, a minor second down, on the left. This works, however, I still have work to do because all my C natural notes are written as B sharp, A is sometimes depicted as G double sharp etc. Is there a setting which would avoid these less common note definitions?
If you define the key signature change on the right and click Apply then the interval on the left changes accordingly.
Do your music contain some accidentals which cross the enharmonic boundary?
In this case you could try the two-step transposition: First transpose to C (up) and then to A (down).
At least have you checked this option?
