I´m trying to write a piano score with score editor (Cubase 13 elements) with right hand in treble clef and left hand in bass clef. However, the ranges overlap, so I can´t simply use a split point, like C3 f.i. (because as soon as I input a note for the left hand that is above C3, Score editor moves it to the treble clef and vice versa).
Gemini tells me to set “polyphonic mode” but I´ve spent several hours looking for it, can´t find it. Does Cubase elements 13 even have it? If so, how to activate? Or is there another workaround? Thanks
Hi and welcome to the forum,
The Polyphonic mode is delectable at the very same place, where you select the Split mode. So if you can’t find it there, it’s not part of Cubase Elements.
The Score Editor is quite basic in all but Pro Cubase editions.
Yes , that´s probably the problem indeed… so I guess I need to either upgrade to PRO … or try to use Musescore…
Thanks Raino. I don´t get that Polyphonic option, I guess I need to upgrade from elements to Artist or Pro… Is your screenshot from Artist or Pro version?
Hi,
I have just double-checked this in Cubase Artist. The Score Settings window is only for Cubase Pro. In the Staff Settings (which is part of Cubase Artist and lower) is the Split Staff Mode only (also in Cubase Artist).
Wow, thanks for checking, Martin, that´s useful to know.
