I have written something that has the fourth 16th note of a beat tied to a dotted eighth on the next beat. When I hit the tremolo, it increases the tremolo for the second note. Any ideas?
Dorico assumes that tremolos are measured by default, and in order to keep the same number of divisions across tied notes of different durations, it automatically adjusts the number of strokes as needed. (Three strokes on a 16th note gives you the same number of measured divisions as four strokes on an 8th note.)
To get both notes to show three strokes, you can untie the notes, apply a 3-stroke trem to each, and then retie the notes – or select the (tied) 8th note in Engrave mode and adjust the “Single stem tremolo” property in the Properties panel.
