Trouble adding VST-effects

Having trouble adding VST-effects.
I usually add effects after pressing “e” on the instrument track (see image).

Today something happened and it is no longer possible to add effects.

I am currently using Cubase Artist 9.
But I have old versions too:

  • Cubase LE AI Elements 8 64bit
  • Cubase LE AI Elements 7 64bit

It looks similar to the old versions.

Anyone who knows the problem?

You switched to the routing tab, which allows you to choose which channels should be processed by your plugin. For example, you could apply distortion to the left channel, but leave the right channel clean.
