Trouble replacing audio in a video file.

Just spent days trying to find a good conversion software to convert an mt2s video file to .mov so that I could import into Cubase 6 and synch it with audio, finally had success with that. Now, trying to replace audio in the video file, and the progress bar, when it gets to the audio portion, says it will take approximately 214,545 hours to convert the audio. I’m afraid I just don’t have that kind of time.

I must be doing this wrong, anyone have any ideas? My MacBook Pro can’t possibly be THAT slow.

Well, the screenshot says 149,000 hours, so that’s a 7 year save! :sunglasses: But seriously, you better export the audio and reassemble the video elsewhere in software that is meant for it. Should Cubase be able to do this at all?

Try to systemically isolate the problem. Are you able to replace audio in any other videos?
Start by replacing a simple audio track into a short, reliable mov file. If you can, you know there is something weird about this particular project.
