Trying to get Vocaloid 6 to work in Cubase 15

I have recently purchased Vocaloid 6.

I’m using Cubase15 pro an an Mac Studio running OS Sequoia 15.7

When I play the midi notes on the instrument track for Vocaloid 6 the notes do note translate over to Vocaloid itself, nothing plays back.

The built in Omnivocal works great this way, midi notes play the voice in Omnivocal

I have seen some comments online about using the ARA2 Vocaloid bridge Vst3 plugin etc. but its only an option for audio tracks as far as I can tell not instrument tracks.

Has anyone on the forum had any luck getting Vocaloid to work in the Cubase DAW.

In the standalone version of Vocaliod 6 I draw in the notes and it works just fine.

any thoughts or suggestions.
