When I try to install it the install button is greyed out.

This is the 2nd post I have read about this issue.
No ‘real’ answer as of yet.
A possible solution is in the thread below. (if you also use WaveLab Elements 8)
Perhaps you can glean some additional info from it.

Brilliant! That was a great tip. I looked at the contents and sure enough, that’s where the core audio bundle resides. I opted to trash the existing N6 app and download a new one. And then it did allow me to install the patch.
