I’m working on a project where I’m putting in an optional repeat section (it’s just repeat barlines, no other roadmap beyond that).
For the sake of my editing and playback, I do not want the repeats to play. Is there a way to tell Dorico to ignore the repeats?
Library > Playback Options > Repeats > Play repeats
Helpful! Thanks!
I don’t foresee any other repeat sections coming my way, so I should be okay. But it would be great if this could be a per-instance toggle rather than all-or-nothing.
I have a clear memory of having done this in the past but the manual doesn’t indicate this as a working solution to suppress per-instance repeats. I’m unclear why this option is available since the other option - “On Passes” - works to allow more complex repeat structures.
Does that work for you? It doesn’t for me.
Not working for me on Dorico for iPad…
You’re right. It no longer works for me. I will change my original post. It used to work. Unclear which update broke it.
Hi @tbabcock123,
I couldn’t say as I’m a newby in Dorico; there are a lot of thing I still have to learn, experiment with and/or understand…
Should I guess what’s the problem I’ll let you know here.
