Turning off MIDI export Volume (&Pan) CCs

Using MIDI export, CCs values for Volume And Pan (127,0) are written into the files. It seems not possible to turn these off. Can you please add an option to do so?!

It messes up many AUV3s….

Which AUv3’s are causing issues for you?
I’ve not bumped into a single misbehaving AUv3 synth yet!

AUv3s that ‘freak out’ from these standard Midi CC’s should be reported to their respective developers…

What Host/AUv3 are you using the play back the exported midi-files?
Maybe it’s the Host/AUv3 that messes up during playback? (Some AUv3 midi-players have somewhat quirky behavior sending excessive pitch-bend and other CC messages).

I actually meant, if you want to swap to another AUv3 with the exported MIDI then it may always set the volume to full (127) for some AUv3s.

For example, i have a drum track MIDI file, afterwards i want to use another drum machine AUV3 with these and i turn the volume knob down but it switches always back to full (127) unless i delete this volume CC. So why have it there in the first place?

Btw GR-16 behaves strange then (the selected pad will change volume in trigger mode). Sure that’s GR-16’s fault. But imo the volume data shouldn’t be in the MIDI file unless i changed it, don’t you agree? If i didn’t set it to 127 why is it in the MIDI file?

This could be a legacy thing…
…GM Midi files always include CC’s to setup the tracks.

I see the Cubase desktop has the option to deactivate this (amongst other things in the export process), so devs, please add this to Cubasis as well.

Hello devs, is this something you would consider adding in an update? (Vol, Pan remove)

There’s another issue with exported MIDI files as well:

They have the names of the AUv3 plugins and not the MIDI track names they have or are renamed to in Cubasis (Neither the names of the tracks). Would you consider fixing this?
