Hi, could anyone recommand me some tutorial how to create two (or more) columns in a page please. They are loads about this topic but I needed it absolutely step by step from Alpha to Zed, , cos I’m totally stuck.
In theory, this is relatively simple: where Dorico normally puts one big blue music frame filling most of a page, you can resize that to be narrower (ie move the right edge leftwards, into the middle of the page), then draw in another music frame to fill the other half of the page.
One key limitation: flow headings spanning 2 columns don’t always work as expected, especially if the flows on either side of the column divide are the same height; the right column will pick up the name of the flow that’s at the same height but in the left column. So if that’s what you’re doing, you might need to handle titling manually.
