Hello, I hope this is an okay way to do this - but I have two notation questions, though they’re not really related to each other. One, is how to make an 8(vb) line only be under one note and not the whole bar in the piano bass clef. This is because there are two voices in the bar and I only want the 8 to affect the first note. Here is an example. I’d like the Db to have a smaller 8 line - I manually transposed the second voice so it is in the correct octave but I can’t seem to drag the line or create a smaller line. (Also, I’m not asking how to create the “vb” symbol - I’ve been converted to be content with just the 8!)
The second question again has to do with two voices, in the treble piano clef this time. In the example I have to voices with the same rhythm but I can’t remove the rests in one of the voices (so it looks better) without removing the beams of whichever one I select. Any tips on this?
