OK, If I want to use an plugin that corrects my studio monitors, I can’t find a ‘Playback Processing’ section at the bottom of the Master Section (as in WL12). How do I create this option?
Next, why can’t I create an ‘Empty’ WL13 Project as I could in WL12?
It might help to show a screenshot of what you’re seeing now but when I click on the words “Playback Processing” the Playback Processing section folds and unfolds as you see in the two attachments.
Also, in WaveLab 13 I can set it so WaveLab always starts with an Empty Space but again, it’s easier to help if you show us what you are seeing because there is usually too much room for interpretation to guess the exact cause and solution.
And if you hold down Command when launching WaveLab, you’ll get this attached menu in which you can choose “Create Empty” and check the box to the left of that to have it be the default behavior whenever you open WaveLab.
Thanks, Justin. OK, the first page is ‘Wavelab Go’, and here the ‘Create Empty’ project does not appear… However, if I select the Recent Project tab in this Go window, then another window that is identical to your opening pic shows up. And here, I did not catch the ‘Create Empty’ tab. So I will deep six the WL Go window in the future.
Wait… Your header says ‘Wavelab Pro 13.0.0’ and all the WL Project options are listed on the left hand side? What am I doing wrong here? I CAN arrive at the WL Go window that now offers the ‘Create Empty’ tab but I do not have what you have there.
Moving on the the MasterSection, take a look at what I have. I also see that your MasterSection has a mic displayed and mine does not - so you are recording tracks (?) I suppose. Still, I can’t understand why the MS I am generating does not give me the option to use a playback speaker plugin.
Wait a minute! There is something wrong with the Steinberg download program. I own WL12 Pro and I purchased WL13 Pro. However, it seems I was somehow prevented from INSTALLING WL13 Pro. Instead I was only allowed to install WL 13 - not WL13 Pro.
So this explains why my WL is so funky. I will uninstall this and contact Steinberg.
And after doing that I see/learn that the Steinberg company has created a new way to track your usage of their software. I guess it’s the sign of the times to do this, however it will now be the ONLY App/Program I own that has to “grant me a license” at the moment of opening the App/Program. It’s weird stuff in my book to see that the desktop icon only shows “WaveLab 13” and not WaveLab 13 Pro, and then, when I click on the icon, it apparently goes ON LINE to confirm that I can be ‘granted’ a license to use the WL13 ‘PRO’ version.
