Two suggestions

I really love Dorico—it meets all my expectations for composing. However, I’d like to offer two suggestions:

  1. Could you allow fully customizable keyboard shortcuts? I would like to have a one-click function to clear all shortcuts. Currently, modifying shortcuts is quite cumbersome: you have to delete the original ones, and newly assigned shortcuts often conflict with existing ones, requiring time-consuming searches and adjustments. My ideal shortcut system would be based on the four modes—Setup, Write, Engrave, and Play—with shortcuts that can be repeated and remain non-conflicting within each mode. This would help users adapt to Dorico quickly in their own workflow. Personally, I would love to compose as quickly as typing in Word, using the computer keyboard to capture musical ideas efficiently.

  2. I hope Dorico on iPad can support the Apple Pencil for handwritten input, or integrate some AI technology to recognize handwritten notation and import it directly into Dorico.

Finally, I wish you all a Merry Christmas!
