UI-requests for Proofreading

The new proofreading feature is absolutely amazing and saves me tons of time. I love it! But there are two things I would like to see improved.

  • The tiny, tiny dismiss button is sooooo small. I would love to see a bigger, always visible button that I don’t have to spend a couple of seconds finding. (Working on a large 43" 4K monitor)
  • One of the most common notes is Precise position for dynamics […] which is of course relevant, but it would be great if I could select a row of 15 such messages in one go to dismiss them all at once.

…and another navigating request…

When navigating larger projects I have found that using comments works quite well, adding e.g. Verse 1, Refrain 1 etc. It’s not ideal, especially if there are a lot of other comments, but it works. Instead it would be great if there was a more appropriate tool for this, e.g. a list of rehearsal marks or just a dedicated signpost or something even more ingenious that you always come up with.

Keep up the good work!

Cheers! :clinking_beer_mugs:

We’ve heard from a number of users that they find the dismiss button too small, and we’re thinking about how to address this.

Ah, I’ve worked with Dorico professionally since version 2.3 and there are still features I’ve missed to internalize. E.g. Edit → Go to.

This does in most ways what I was asking for in my previous post, but what I’m missing is a list of the rehearsal marks with the actual “names”.
All Flows are listed with correct names, but the rehearsal marks only displays as 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc. In a long pice it’s a bit hard to remember if it is the 25th or 30th RM I’m looking for. Would it be possible to instead display the actual “name” of them, including pre-/suffix? E.g. [45: Verse 1]
