The makeup gain compensation seems like it’d be a cool feature.
How does it sound? Clean vs “character”?
Any bugs, or applesauce workflow?
Thanks!

I found it very useful sending a Kick and Snare track to an Effect Bus with Ultrashaper on it. You can really control the punch factor in a dense mix, and get them right out front. It is also very “visual” compared to some of the other Cubase dynamics plugins.
One of the better plugins included with Cubase in recent years!
Start of with the many presets included, then tweak as desired and save your own as you find what works best with your sounds. Certainly can get decent results very quickly.
I really like how it smooths things out, especially when used with drums. Combined with its transient shaping features and it’s excellent clipper, I can’t say enough good things about it, even though I have many other popular third-party compressors.
I’ve only just purchased Cubase 15 Pro, so looking forward to trying the “Ultrashaper” having read good things elsewhere!
I like it and glad they added this plug.
However, for amusement, look at the initial feelings on the date Cubase 15 was released.
It tells a lot about people.
