I’m on Cubase 12 Pro on macOS. I was previously able to assign a bypass effect for Pro-Q3 on my Stereo Out chain to my MIDI controller.
All of a sudden it stopped working. I’ve tried updating Cubase, my Novation Launchkey firmware and a few other things.
Since it had previously been working I figure there must be a solution…
Solution: You need to delete the HUI Control section under Studio setup → Remote Devices. Then restart Cubase. I was able to use all functions on the Novation Launchkey 61 just fine after this including mapping, transport controls and everything else.
This is because Novation and other MIDI controllers with scripts in Cubase 12 are meant to be plug and play. The HUI legacy controls messes with them.
