I am experiencing an issue with my MySteinberg account regarding my Cubase Pro 15 license. Currently, an unknown computer is listed under my licensed devices and is holding my license. The strangest part of this problem is that the name of this unknown device keeps changing!
I find the licensing status very confusing. I have fully purchased Cubase 11, 12, 13, and 14 in the past…the system now suddenly states that I have ended a trial.
The main problem remains that the device name is simply incorrect and constantly altering.
Has anyone else experienced this issue with changing device names or the sudden “trial ended” message? Any advice on how to deactivate this unknown device?
Yes indeed!
My 2 comps on win10 does not, but my new laptop on win 11 does it all the time, into rediccoulous names by some random generator or what ever. I’ve tried to search for Viruses and looked through my firewall settings and so on, to no avail. I’ve just given up. It doesn’t seem to hurt my comp or programs in any way, thankfully, just anoying.
Of course I am not Michael and didn’t name my computer that way. I’m thinking, but not sure, this has to do with using a mobile hotspot to get an internet connection.
I remember about a bug where arbitrary labels were displayed for activated computers, it occurred shortly after the new system started. I thought it had been fixed though. Maybe this is a similar or even the same thing.
