unexplainable… I tried to fill with notes and then deleting, still the same blank bars…?
Try Shift-B, “rest” (without the quotes), enter.
If your layout set to hide bar rests in empty bars? Or do the notes in bar 2 on those staves have the property “Starts voice” activated in the Properties panel at the bottom?
