When saving a file with Audacity
Filesize Audacity: 194.913.148 (example of the same file)
and the same in Wavelab
Filesize Wavelab: 194.912.672 (example of the same file)
The filesize is different - why?
The problem here is, that we want to further automate and it works with the Audacity-File, but not with the Wavelab-File.
Difference in fileheader info?
Probably. But why? Once again, Audacity seems to to it 100% right.
In my experience, Wavelab includes RIFF information beyond the bare minimum required to be a complaint .wav or .aiff file.
There’s software and at least one online service that claim to show you the headers, and maybe a comparison of the two files would answer the question?
