Dorico on ipad crashes repeatedly after using cmd-Z.
Am I the only one?
cmd-Z works OK for me on an iPad. Iโm using a Logitech keyboard connected via Bluetooth.
What are you undoing with cmd-Z? Could that be the problem?
@kosmogeri, I suspect this problem might be specific to a particular set of actions in a particular project. Can you attach the project here, together with a description of the steps I need to follow to reproduce the crash?
no. only with key command.
Dorico crashes only when the cmd-Overlay with the shortcut infos is shown.
Right, so you have to hold down the Command key long enough for that overlay to appear, then type Command-Z? Iโll see if I can reproduce the same behaviour.
I trained myself not to stay on the cmd-key w/o reason.
If you think about it, the OS has to know you are in command mode - while you give the command (like Z for undo or P for print or X for cut and so on). Thatโs why you have to keep the command key down. Otherwise the OS will only
recognise Z or P or X as normal keypresses.
It is usually advised to use the thumb and use it to put the weight of your hand onto it, that is also, why the key is placed ergonomically at this or those position(s).
