Looking to write for Northumbrian Smallpipes, which is in Bb. “Bagpipes” are listed, but they’re in concert pitch. Would my best bet be to just write for, say, Bb Clarinet and change the name of the instrument, or is there a way to create an instrument so that I can set the actual range etc?
Use Clef and Transposition Overrides to change the transposition. It is layout specific so, you will have to set both the score and the part.
