Unstable New Score Editor in Cubase 15 Pro

I am having so many lock up issues when editing with the new score editor in Cubase 15 Pro I do use the highest resolution 3840x2160 Scale=125%. There are time I have to click another note on the stave to get to the note I want to edit. Windows 11 Dell Ultra 9 (top of the line) 32 Gigs Ram. I use the GPU on the mother board for my ECB 2250. MAYBE I need an additional Graphics card with at least 6gig VRAM. This has become a real pain in the butt and was never corrected since Cubase 14. Please share you display resolutions and scales to compare. Sorry No Dump file when this happens

TIA Alan Russell

Reports like this are a bit vague.

Have you seen other reports in the forum about freezes in the score editor?

  • What exact troubleshooting steps have you taken, if any?

  • What evidence did you see that indicates the gpu is involved at all?

  • Have you started Cubase in safe mode, or deleted prefs to rule out settings corruption?

I don´t think that screen resolution is a factor.
I already reported here my problems with selecting notes. It´s simply strange and differnt from any other app I use. Results are unpredictable, alomst random.
Sometimes all the notes of a bar get selected.
When drawing a square with the mouse it has to be ‘somewhat’ wider than usual, but then it´s getting unprecise.
It makes a difference from where you start drawing the square, from the top of my head only starting from above can possibly lead to useable results. so how to select multible lower notes?
Selecting notes within a chord never works at first try, the whole chord gets selected, or nothing is selected.
Working fast is simply not possible, in fact, it´s driving me nuts…

where you place your mouse is so limited to the new score editor - what a pain in the asp!

Not only it appears vague but they happen randomly having no handle as to the cause but all I could tell you is this has been going on since Cbase 14 Pro when the new score editor was introduced and Steinberg has not looked into it with depth. There were also not a lot of responses to my issue in the forum so maybe a lot of musicians are not scoring heavily using the new score editor I guess they’re really pushing Dorico but that software doesn’t have a seamless connection to CUBASE 15 Pro when it comes to the library that you want to hear and use and that you have been orchestrating for

This is only my opinion and others may differ
