Unwanted midi instrument change

I have imported a midi part into Cubase 9.5 which when played with my keyboard as the output, always changes the instrument being played. Bank select and program select are both off for the midi track so I presume that there is a midi command embedded in the midi file that is causing the problem.

How do I find it and delete it?

The easiest is to use the List Editor. It has filters so you can hide Note On/Off, cc’s etc. making it easier to spot other stuff.

Thanks, Raino. That fixed it up for me. There was a program change at the beginning of the file. After deleting all is now good.
