I am using Dorico Version 6.2.30.6245 on Windows 11. Right now I’m working on some arrangements. I work in a way where I like add bars to the flow in the conductor score and fill them in as I go. However, when I add bars using the Insert Bars tool, it consistently creates multimeasure (multibar) rests in the score, tacet al fine in the score. It does this across flows. How can I resolve this so I can create empty bars in the score, and then ensure the Dorico creates multimeasure rests in the parts like it used to?
Wow I guess it was that time I was in Vegas, came back from Tiesto’s set at EDC, spent a couple racks at the craps table, came back up to my room and ignored the beautiful man on my bed and opened up Dorico. I thought to myself, “ah yes, Dorico, that wonderful piece of software that perfectly combines the autism of British and German culture, that is known for doing things in the easiest and most intuitive ways possible. How about I change a setting no one in their right mind would ever change? How about I make my life as hard as possible in a few weeks when my gambling inevitably makes me procrastinate on an orchestral project? And, how good are these designers for making this a setting?” Yes, I totally remember. It came back to me. I definitely changed that setting on my own!
I have autism and I didn’t like that you used that as an insult. Please, don’t do that again. I know you weren’t saying it towards me, but it wasn’t a nice thing to say.
