Unwanted Tremolo Notation in Tablature

I cannot get rid of the tremolo on the tab staff without removing it from the notation. Help please!

Instead of using a three strokes single-note tremolo, you could create and use a new playing technique associated with the Tremolo playback technique with the glyph tremolo3 (U+E222) and position it in engrave mode:

Note that this will not playback correctly unless your guitar VST has unmeasured tremolo samples and your expression map uses them.

If the tremolo strokes indicate the same type of 16th-quintuplet as the neighbouring rhythms, I wouldn’t use a 3-stroke, but a 2-stroke, because it’s just 16ths after all. What you write here actually suggests (but unclearly, I must say) a change to a true tremolo. Is that what you intended? It may be helpful to either add something like sim. (if the quintuplets should continue) or trem. if there’s really this change in texture.

In guitar publications the slashes indicate the durational level of the repeated notes. As you can see, the tremolo is first notated as straight 32nds. Then, a sixteenth rest with a quarter note with three slashes. The use of the quarter note, I assume, is to avoid eighth-note tails and clutter up the space. I don-t know if guitar indicates a true tremolo; it is more of an effect in guitar in which the melody appears even because of the speed (assuming good technique).

The flamenco tremolo would still require 3 slashes if it represents the durational level. But i have also often wondered if the slashes could be thought of as true repeat; in other words, the note, whatever its value, counts as the first note of the tremolo and the slashes are added according to how many repeats one desires. Two slashes would indicate 3 notes played after the bass for a total of four.
Playback does not seem affected by that notation.

@johnkprice: I will try that. Exactly what I need. Why does that not copy to the tablature?

AFAIK, playing techniques only appear on the notation staff and not on the tablature staff.

For playing techniques, it depends on this setting in the technique itself:

How do I navigate there?

Is tremolo not a technique? I do not see it.

No, tremolo is not a playing technique.
