I tried the strumming in the plexphraser. That sounds good, but i want to do my own strumming patterns. Is there a way to do this in Halion? I prefer the sound in the Halion synth engines compared to uvi. But the uvi scripts are fantastic. So much possibilities for midi manipulation.
I think you might find what you’re looking for with a library truly dedicated to the instrument, like this one:
Other companies, like 8Dio or others, could potentially expand the possibilities.
That was a beautiful sounding guitar instrument. May have to buy it. I just watched the youtube video (and Dom has a Commodore64 shirt! Braavo!) That strum engine is exactly what i’m looking for. But i guess it’s only for the included samples in Tguitar? That is, one can’t use the engine with the Halion Fm lab for instance?
That’s right! It’s a library produced by Acoustic Samples for HALion. It has its own samples and uses all the tools HALion makes available to developers.
Acoustic Samples also produces other libraries that are generally available via UVI Workstation (Player), I believe.
Some people use separate arpeggiators to produce strumming patterns, that can then be liberally applied to any sound source.
I think BlueArp just added quite a bit of strumming capability (page 48 of the user manual) I haven’t tried it myself yet, though.
