Updat from 11 pro to 12 pro

Hi, After doing an updat from 11 pro to 12 pro i get this. Inserts but also waves plug ins?
How can i solve this. I am a newby . The updat was a struggle for m

mine did this too - I thought I’d activated it, but i hadn’t. Click the activate link in the original email and see if it works/changes anything

Hey TobyShark thanks for the reply. In the email where i received the acces code i don’t see any activation link? As i told you i am a newby :wink: i was on the website of steinberg and i activated it there. Its a very hard updat from 11 to 12… but anyway thanks for the reply

I don’t know which system you are on but from Windows start menu write “activation manager” and open that Steinberg activation on your computer and look for your software activations there. If it isn’t available for the new copy protection system yet, could it be as simple as you still need to leave your elicsenser in the USB port for that software? I do not know this plugin

That error is almost certainly telling you that you don’t have a Basic FX Suite licence available. If, as I suspect, you are using a Steinberg audio interface then you should have got this licence in the box. Basic FX Suite still uses the old eLicenser licensing system.

Hi David, i am indeed using UR816C Audio interface. If i understand you correctly the license should be delivered with the interface? The USB lincense is still in my PC (win 10) but i really don’t know how to fix this problem. I don’t see any license for the basic suite FX only the one from cubase 11 pro and the update accescode to 12 pro. Do you think you can give me the right instructions to follow because i am really new at this. Thanks in advanced. GRZ Djeemz

You would either have activated Basic FX Suite on a USB eLicenser or a soft eLicenser.

If your Basic FX Suite licence is on your USB eLicenser, plug it into the computer you are using.

If your Basic FX Suite licence is on a soft eLicenser, you cannot easily move this between computers. You could drag that licence onto your USB eLicenser in eLicenser Control Center - but that’s a one-way deal, as you cannot move a licence from a USB eLicenser back to a soft eLicenser.

There have been numerous requests for Basic FX Suite to move to Steinberg Licensing - the same system as Cubase 12. I believe that will happen eventually, but Steinberg has not said if and when the transition will happen.
