hello!
longtime Dorico user, would love to update to pro 6 from pro 5, am wondering if there’s any chance at a coupon? (also happens to be my bday today).
thanks for considering and thank you for making an amazing amazing software that I use all the time!
cheers,
simone
Happy birthday, Simone! I hope you have a lovely day.
Unfortunately, there are no coupon codes available that provide a discount on Dorico Pro updates at the moment. Dorico 6 was only released a few weeks ago, and typically we don’t offer any discounts on updates for several months following the release of a new version.
thanks Daniel! totally understand
hope you have a beautiful day as well and thanks again for all you do! yay for cutaway scores!
can Steinberg at least provide option for repetitive products included in different software? I have Absolute 6, Nuendo 14, Dorico, wavelab, and there’s no compensation at all ..
The word “compensation” tickles me, as if somehow we should be paying you for the use of our software ![]()
However, I know that’s not what you really mean: you feel that some percentage of the cost of Nuendo and Dorico must be for the sample content used in common between both products, and so you want a discount so that you’re not “paying for it twice”. That’s really not how we think of our products, and we don’t determine their price by adding up the “cost” of the components that go into the product. But we definitely understand this sentiment, and it is something that we think about.
Well, I apologize if my diction isn’t correct; my English isn’t particularly good. My intention is that Steinberg should provide options instead of forcing us to use a similar app that we already have. Perhaps you could offer loyalty discounts, similar to other developers. I understand that this may sound demanding, but as a loyal customer, I believe I have the right to provide feedback and suggestions. Fortunately, I didn’t get offended by your response because I think you misunderstood my question.
If you have the full HALion and Groove Agent as part of Absolute, then you don’t have to download the SE versions that come with Dorico (or with Nuendo). And Dorico has an application Preference to ensure that you always use the full HALion, if you want.
I don’t think you’re being forced to do anything you don’t want.
