Update from Cubase Pro 10 edu to Cubase Pro 12

Hello to all,

This is my first post on here but I’m hoping someone can help me. I currently run Cubase 10 on Mojove 10.14 OS. I know that Cubase 10 won’t run on Catalina 10.15 or any other later OS. I’m going to be updating my OS soon but wanted to know if I can upgrade my Cubase 10 to 12 for a upgraded price.

I’ve not seen anything online hence the post on here. I did see that you could buy Cubase 11 EDU version with a free upgrade to 12 for £253 from Thomann but that was the only one I saw. I’m a teacher so would be able to use the EDU version.

I guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Since you already own Cubase 10, you can buy an update or upgrade for it which should be cheaper than buying a new license even if it’s an educational one. As far as I can tell, there’s no special update/upgrade path for EDU versions. Only full versions are offered with educational discounts. Thus, it doesn’t matter if your Cubase 10 in a regular or an EDU version. You can update Cubase Pro 10 to Pro 12 for 199€. In case you’d like to upgrade from a smaller product (Artist, Elements, AI, …) to Pro 12, it’s more expensive, of course.

I have Cubase 10 Pro full version but at an educational discounted price. So I can get an upgrade for £199 from Cubase?

Thanks for the link. I can update to version 12 pro for £172, which isn’t too bad.
