After upgrading to Cubase 14.0.10 there is a problem when I want to save as a template.
Before this update it worked regularly.
How to reproduce:
-I do my basic project
-Save as a template
-I make some changes to optimize it
-Save as a template, and here the problem occurs:
Before the update I could select my old template from the list of presets, select it and overwrite it with the new optimized, now instead the list is empty and I must necessarily remember the right name to be able to save it.
The strange thing is that if I type the name of the template I want to overwrite, it still asks me whether to overwrite, even if it doesn’t exist in the list.
Please fix it, or tell me If is there a preferences to trash for reset this strange behavior.
My workaround is to go to Media → Media Bay
Make sure MediaBay’s left zone is visible; there navigate to the user content, right click the folder and rescan it.
That ought to do it until you have to re-install Cubase again (for whatever reason). After a re-install you probably have to repeat the above procedure.
It appears that the new C14 update reads from one template folder but saves to another it has created itself, hence new templates are not visible when opening. I reverted to C14.05 and the issue is gone.
