I have been using Cubase LE AI Elements 11 for some time now and recently noticed the ongoing upgrade to the new Steinberg Licensing method. However, when I attempt to upgrade, I’m unable to do so. It seems that purchasing an upgrade to a newer version is required, which is not what I want to do. While I’d like to retain the ability to transfer the software to future computers, I’m looking for a solution that allows me to transition to the new licensing system without upgrading to a newer Cubase version. Is there a way to achieve this?
Hi and welcome to the forum,
Cubase AI, LE, Elements are 3 different editions. First, you have to find out, which licence do you own. You can find it in the eLicenser Control Center.
If you own Cubase AI or LE, the update is for free. If you own Cubase Elements, you have to buy the update.
Hi and thanks for the immediate response! I own the Cubase AI product, as listed in eLCC. How can I update the software? I tried doing the official steps, but it didn’t work. Do you have any other recommendations? Thanks a lot!
Hi,
Please, ask Matthias in this thread.
