It always shows shows older versions of what I already have installed. does everyone else experience this?
If its for a specific older Cubase version, it would be nice to see that.

Its dangerous because it’ll downgrade your current plugins etc..
Hi,
can you give us some details, please?
I agree, I’d be careful with downgrades (and upgrades if the replace previous versions), too.
E.g. Groove Agent 6 SE seems to run on C12-14 as well. Halion SE on the other hand caused some compatability issues a couple of years ago.
It’s better to do these things on a case by case basis.
Hi,
Yeah, within my “upgrades” part of Download assistant, all of the apparent upgrades are downgrades. I can imagine someone would, without second guessing, install these files and be rolling back rather than updating.
It looks like a load of the contents within the updates section have been removed since i first made the post, rightly so and good news. But I don’t actually even own the full version of Groove agent, so I’m unsure why there is a full version available as an update. & theres still a SpectraLayers rollback
For clarity I’m using Cubase 15 Pro. I’ve attached screenshots:
Hi,
did you download a trial version of Groove Agent 5 at one point? This would explain why it appears under updates even though you have never bought it. It’s annoying to say the least.
Cubase 14.0.40 is the latest C14 update - you can download and update this version if you’ve kept C14 on your system. That’s correct.
At some point between C9/10 and C13 IIRC, Groove Agent 5 appeared in the “my products”, quite a few products did at that point. I downloaded them, and after a short time, got some sort of message saying i can’t use those plugins - missing licenses etc. But yeah I do still have C14 on my system. So that does make sense. I’ve kept every version on my computer. So I guess that’s why im seeing what I am.
Would be nice to know which Cubase version it’s related to.
I keep each version on my system, they’re like badges of honour ![]()
marked as solved, because I think you hit the nail on the head. having multiple version of Cubase on the system & accidental past trial which were downloaded from the “my products” section. They must’ve shown because of a glitch or something
