Hi,
No Cubase is involved in the Summer Deals (2025) at all.
If you have a Pro Version the update to Artist is not possible anyway. You can not “downgrade” from Pro to Artist.
But as @Martin.Jirsak says, currently there is no deal available.
Ok, thanks Martin.
Best.

Thanks Jurgen.
One doubt in mind then: if I decide to buy the Cubase 14 artist instead of the Pro because I really don´t need the extra features the Pro has over Artist, will I be able to use all my plug ins and VST Instruments as they are installed (including non Steinberg ones) or should I install everything again from ground zero?
Thanks very much!

You may well find that plugins that were included in 8.5….3rd party or not…..but if were included in 8.5…..might…might….be history. And in no way work (or even install) with Cubase 14 Pro, 14 Artist…or anything else.
There is no list. You’ll only know when you install. I encounter tons of stuff on test installs of cubendo 4,5,6,7,8,9 etc that have plugins that simply no longer exist….or in the case of 3rd party bundling…no longer install on newer cubase versions.
Maybe check out 14 Pro trial. Just a heads up.
Personally, I’d never buy Artist. Just get the full Pro. Otherwise, over time, there WILL be things that come up where you’ll say “I shoulda bought Pro”.
Hi,
Cubase 14 doesn’t support 32-bit plug-ins anymore. So if any of your plug-in is 32-bit only, this won’t work anymore. By default, Cubase 14 doesn’t support VST2 plug-ins. You can enable this option manually.
I would second to DosWasBest and recommend you to download Cubase 14 Trial and test it at your system.
Thanks for the email!
I will follow your advice about the trial version, that’s the best option.
Cheers.

Thanks Martin:
No doubt although (as far as I know) I use most 64 bit plug ins, the best thing is to try: balance between lazyness and improving workflow.
Cheers.

Whatever upgrade you get, keep 8.5 installed and use it to finish existing projects that require it, and use 14 for new projects.
Great!
Thank you.
Best.
