Upgrade from Cubase 9 to 10

Hi,
My Cubase 9 system was compromised when I imported my Cubase 6 ‘shortcuts’ and ‘preferences’ files.
After struggling for a couple of months it’s time to solve these issues and upgrade at the same time.

  1. what’s the best and easiest way to upgrade from 9.5 to 10? (and keep some / configuration settings eg ASIO drivers etc etc)

  2. is there anyway of using my Cubase 6 ‘shortcuts’ and ‘preferences’ files? Or do I need to start again and create them all individually, one by one in Cubase 10?

Cheers,
Neil

Hi,

  1. Cubase 9 preferences are migrated to Cubase 10 or Cubase 10.5 automatically. So you don’t have to do anything.

  2. Cubase 6 preferences are not migrated to Cubase 10 or 10.5. You can copy the Key Commands.xml file over to Cubase 10 preferences folder. You could try even to copy all preferences files, but it might be risky and it might bring some compatibility issues.
