Cubase 5 is less old of the sx version, and there is not any offer! it is very strange!!!

If you look at the address bar of the link I sent you it clearly says PROMOCOUP=UPGRADE 16 and there you can click on Update from Cubase 4/5 so this offer must apply to Cubase 5!
Have you tried signing into your account and going through the payment process but looking out for the box that says something like Promo Code so you can insert the words UPGRADE16 to get the 40% off?
Because Cubase 5 to Cuabse Pro 8.5 is an update, not an upgrade.
If you are moving from Cubase 5 to Cubase 8.5 then that is an update and you can update if you have Cubase 5.
Upgrade are from lower versions of the Cubase family to the pro version ie Cubase Artist Cubase Elements, LE, AI, Essential, Studio, SX, SL or Sequel.
So if you own Cubase5 then you can update to the newest version of Cubase pro.

What version are you wanting to upgrade from? You have stated that it is Cubase 5. If so then you need to get an update and you are able to get the update from Cubase5.
I’m assuming now that you do not have Cubase 5 but that you have Cubase studio 5 or one of the other versions. If this is so then you should have stated the specific version that you have.

They have Cubase 5…They were confused that other versions seemed to have an offer on upgrading but 5 didn’t.
They were linked to the correct offer for 5 to 8 but unfortunately this expired a couple weeks ago.

I think there must be something wrong with the Steinberg site. You can upgrade from Cubase Artist 6 with the discount but not from Cubase 4/5 or 6/6.5 or 7? Doesn’t make sense…

No need for Mods. Zhe current offer is for upgrades, not updates. The update offer expired July 7th - all written before, just read it!
I get it now, sorry for the confusion. I still think it’s weird though…
