Upgrade to cubase artist?

Hi, long time , since i visited this forum.
Anyway, i am thinking about upgrading
my cubase element 13 to cubase artist or maybe pro , later on.
The problems here is, i constantly running in problems , like , not enough midi tracks , imstrument tracks and audio tracks, and i hope i dont sound bragging, but my piano skills is far better, etc, reading music sheet , composing pop/ classics music, even fought i am not a super pro piano player, but , what i am trying to say is, this element version is just to linited for me, i need more instrument tracks, midi tracks, audio tracks.
Some times i do duplicate my midi tracks, and when creating a musical classic orch themes or maybe a cover version, could be many things,
creating a musical piece , consisting , piano, violins, viola , strings sections, horns, flute, harp, etc, i am quickly ending up, not having enough tracks etc.
The questions here is, should i upgrade to Artist or Pro version or Cubase ??
For now, i can afford Artist version, well i guess i can afford pro version as well, but i dont like to touch my exstra savings.
I hope black friday will put cubase 14 pro half price and even cheaper with upgrade !!.

The good thing is , cubase is now dongle free, but when will Halion 7 be dongle free ?.

Hi,

Here you can see the Cubase editions comparison chart. As you can see, Cubase Artist offers unlimited number of MIDI Tracks and Instrument Tracks. Therefore I would say, the Artist edition is OK for you.

HALion 7 is dongle free, it uses Steinberg Licensing.

I think i will buy Artist upgrade in January 2025,
later on , upgrading to Pro version.
Do the Artist version or Pro version of cubase have bath file save mulitple files, in one go, say you want to save 10 audio track , like audiotrack 1, audio track 2, audiotrack2…etc…
What about macro s , or batch job reccording
, similar to photoshop, where you can rec a job, or whatever its called, like , if you want to spply gassuian blur to 100 jpg photos, just by hitting one button or execute a certain premade processes , then choose a folder with bunch of pictures, then hit that button, and all 100 pictures will get gassuian blur aplied and saving
all 100 picture in one go??

Do the artist have that new drum machine , that the cubase pro 14 have ??.

Hope there will be January sales on Cubase 14 pro.

hmmm, but i still have the halion 7 license om my steinberg usb elicenser dongle, so maybe i should move it onto the the computer ??
Ok, i’m confusing about this.

Since new versions of Cubase are released in November there has never been a Black Friday or January sale of Cubase. Instruments, maybe, but never Cubase. The next Cubase sale will be sometime in the summer, maybe July. Has been that way for a decade, at least.

Can you please make a screenshot of your USB eLicenser Control Center?

The last release on the eLicenser was HALion 6, HALion 7 is the first Release using Steinberg Licensing.

You can not move licenses from the dongle to the computer, that is not possible.

in the meantime, today, i’ve buy the element to artist upgrade, can’t wait any longer.

Ohh, what a mess i made, trying to explain
“if cubase artist / pro have batch file audio saving”, thats what i meant.
Anyway does’nt matter really.

ohh, i apologize, no need to check for elicenser, i just did take out the usb dongle, and Halion 7 did
not aisk for the usb dongle or complained about
license,etc…
My fault, have’nt really checked for a long time, when the Halion 6/ 7 did become dongle free.
Anyway, the Cubase Artist 14 is a Monster, wow.
