Upgrade to Cubase LE

I used to use LE but have not for a long time. What product replaces this. I only use the software for home use and editing midid files

No product replaces LE. LE and its Yamaha counterpart AI are still being bundled with select hardware products. Now, the paid replacement of LE would be Elements. You can continue using LE if you want and will continue receiving version upgrades for it.

thank you. I have had to replace my computer and lost all my software and can’t see LE anywhere. Where can I get LE now please

If you still have the access code that was given to you when you got LE, send a PM to a mod or one of the Steinberg people in this forum and they might be able to sort you out.

Was your account set up when you used LE before or did you only register now??

If you log into MySteinberg and your license is shown in there then you can request update to the newest version. If you don’t have any license or registration to prove ownership then you may struggle….despite what last poster says it’s not free, it’s just not for sale because it’s a version you get bundled with hardware.

Cubase LE/AI do have a price: the price of whatever hardware you bought that came with it, which means that Cubase LE/AI might be more expensive than Pro in some cases. If you buy a Montage M8x, that’s the price of almost 8 Cubase Pro licenses for you to get AI.

Thank you all. So the easier thing to do is buy new software to replace my LE. What is the software that is most like replacing the LE please and easy to use. I just want to edit midi files for my Yamaha keyboards. Appreciate your help

As @BrunoDSL already wrote there is no software that replaces Cubase LE. The smallest release you can buy is Cubase Elements.

Just go to the Steinberg website and press the Buy Cubase button.
